The distributed and parallel reactive power optimization algorithm based on sub-area division of the power systems is firstly combined with the multi-agent technology according to its characteristics. The multi-agent system based distributed voltage and reactive power system is proposed in this dissertation.

Based on NewGA, the thesis proposes a multigroup parallel genetic algorithm with simulated annealing method , then combines MPGASA with BPNN. According to whether simulated anealing method is used or not, two parallel genetic neural networks are implemented respectively. Results show that PGANN_SA is superior to PGANN and NewGANN.
