The average fiber length of 2-yr-old Melaleuca leucadendron is 0.75mm. Its holo-cellulose content is merely 64.4%, lower than those of Gmelina arborea of the same age and mixed Indonesian hardwoods. Lignin content of the wood is 30.7%, higher than that of Gmelina arborea of the same age and close to the average of SE Asian hardwoods.

Relationship between DNA content and evolutionary degree DNA contents of bivalves were analyzed statistically with SPSS software at subclass, order, family and species grade respectively. Significant difference was detected between mean values of two subclasses according to the result of T-test. The DNA content of Heterodonta (3.77pg) was distinctly larger than that of Pteriomorphia (3.14pg). Results show that there is remarkable correlation between the land use types and SOM. From1981 to 2000, the content of SOM increased in the whole area mainly because of the transformation from virgin grass land to cultivated land and increase of irrigable land. The average content of SOM increased by 28% and increased from 9.64 g/kg to 12.35 g/kg. Then the household changed their land use way by driven of interest and do not increase additional input anymore.

Thirty lavender varieties in five sections were investigated in leaf characters and fragrance. Sections Lavandula and Pterostoechas possessed the highest (7.23) and the lowest (2.01) value of the length/width, respectively. Because sections Lavandula (3.59cm) and Stoechas (3.00cm) possessed the approximate value of the leaf length and leaf width, lavender varieties couldn't be identified only by the leaf character.

In this study, with a total of 798 SOC density data and the 1:500 000 soil maps, the SOC storage in YunnanGuizhouGuangxi Region of China (including Yunnan province, Guizhou province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region) was estimated using the soil type method with the linkage of arithmetic mean method, median method, and areaweighted mean method (based on the area recorded in the Soil Series) based on different map units and the results were compared with that of the linkage of PKB method (Pedological Professional Knowledge Based Method).

The descending rates were 19.4% and 21.4%, respectively, which showed significant differences (P.01). While in the photopic environment, the average dynamic visual acuities under the conditon of acute mild hypoxia didn't show significant differences, compared with those under the normal condition.
