We investigated the composition of the dinoflagellate genus Symbiodinium in 22 species of scleractinian corals from 14 genera and eight families in Luhuitou fringing reef of Sanya, using polymerase chain reaction of the large subunit rDNA and restriction fragment length polymorphism.

本研究利用PCR技术扩增核糖体基因大亚基片段以及限制性片段长度多态性的方法，对海南三亚鹿回头岸礁的8科14属22种造礁石珊瑚的共生藻组成进行了研究。

The results showed that the dinoflagellate genus Symbiodinium clade C was dominant in the study area. Pocillopora damicornis and Favia favus harbor Symbiodinium Clade D, while Galaxeafascicularis and Acropora horrida can harbor more than one type of symbiont.
