Results The indications for surgery were urinary retention with a large prostate in 78 patients (66.7%),cystolithiasis in 25(21.4%),prostatic bleeding in 9(7.7%), hernia in 7(6.0%) and bladder diverticulum in 5(4.3%).

Methods: 37 patients with complex upper urinary lithangiuria with pyonephrosis were selected during November 2002 to July 2007. 8 cases were treated with transurethral ureteroscope lithotripsy followed by tube internal drainage, while 29 cases were treated with minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy.
