本文对上一版软件的不足部分加以了改进：突破了屏幕大小的限制，对于一个由很多元件组成的复杂大系统，只需一次就可以构造出其可靠性框图；增加了三种元件的寿命分布型式：伽玛分布、贝塔分布和威布尔分布等；增加了对系统的平均寿命的区间估计；改进了计算由几个子系统组成的复杂大系统的计算方法；全面提高了运算速度。
