青海藏戏属于安多藏戏，早在18世纪中叶，青海黄南藏族自治州同仁县隆务寺僧人去西藏学习，受到西藏藏戏的熏陶，引进到安多地区，在寺院学演藏戏，并融入了安多地区藏族音乐、舞蹈和说唱曲艺等艺术营养，且以安多方言演出，成为有别于西藏藏戏的安多藏戏。
