本论文通过用美国微软公司著名的应用程序开发工具—Visual C++ 6.0编制了运行在Windows 98/2000/XP等操作系统下具有微软Internet Explorer 6.0 风格的32位应用程序，使对白云鄂博铁矿东矿边坡位移值的时间序列的计算和预测全部由计算机自动完成，一般技术人员所要做的仅仅是输入测点的空间坐标数据和预测所需要的一些参数，通过选择菜单选项和单击按钮，就能实现对白云鄂博铁矿东矿边坡失稳的预测，从而使广大技术人员从繁重的计算中解放出来，把精力放在具体的理论研究中。
