They had suppressed the cathodic process of carbon steel electrode. Their inhibition performance was also related with their molecule stereo conformation and electron configuration. Four of bis-(1, 1'-benzotriazoly)-α,β-diamide compounds linked via-CO 〓CO-chain were synthesized and certified by IR and 〓H-NMR. The minimum energy conformations of these compounds were obtained by MM2 forcefield program. The two benzotriazole moiety in BBT1 was more planar than in other compounds. This was beneficial in increasing the inhibition effects of BBT1. In 0.5M H〓SO〓 solution, BBT1 suppressed anodic corrosion reaction. In 3%NaCl solution, BBT1 suppressed both cathodic and anodic corrosion reactions. 1- [ (1'-imidazolly)-methyl] benzotriazole was synthesized by Mannich reaction.

Fumed-silica surfaces were modified with resorcinol and hexamethylenetetramine complex, and NR/M-silica nanocomposites were prepared in mixing and curing process. Structure and properties of NR/M-silica nanocomposites were investigated by mechanical testing ,cross-linking density determination, transmission electron microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The results showed that M-silica have obvious reinforcement effect on NR vulcanizate.

By optimizing the reaction conditions, such as solvents, temperature, time and chiral auxiliaries like N,N\'-dibenzyl tartamide, N,N\'-p-dimethylphenyl tartamide, N,N\'-o-dimethylphenyl tartamide, N,N\'-o-dichlorophenyl tartamide, N,N\'-a-dinaphyl tartamide, N,N\'-dicyclohexyl tartamide and N,N\'-diphenyl tartamide, ideal experimenttal conditions are obtained according to HPLC monitoring, as well as the auxiliaries\' recoveries experiments. Starting from benzaldehyde and 3-bromopropaldehyde, N,N\'-dibenzyl tartamide is considered the best auxiliary in this reaction.
