对立

Antonymy is an important semantic relation through which the complex phenomena of the objective world can be reflected in the linguistic vocabulary.

客观世界、社会生活中千变万化的复杂关系，必然反映到语言词汇中。而反义词语的矛盾与对立便是这种复杂关系的具体体现。这是和词的同义关系相对应的一种关系。

The paper points out that, in terms of the rhetorical use of antonymy, there is not only the co-occurrence of both members of an antonym pair (though often across syntactic-boundary) but also the use of only one member if semantically "abnormal", and semantically, the co-occurrence can be either "abnormal" or normal.

Apriorism and empiricism are two antagonistic concepts in contemporary western philosophy. The former takes some ultimate ideas as its ideological basis, while the latter regards the effective practical activities as the only human ideological basis, rejecting any unverifiable ultimate idea.
