在运用中、小尺度模型油罐和多种实验油品，对扬沸火灾现象进行模拟实验研究的基础上，分析了扬沸火灾的基本性状，着重考察了扬沸火灾过程中的一些典型分过程：（1）扬沸火灾的火行为，（2）油水层热结构特性，（3）在油界面上及油层中的蒸汽泡形成、长大、运动特性，（4）扬沸前兆燃烧微爆现象及其噪声特性，（5）油水界面上的蒸汽微爆现象，（6）油品的燃烧速率等。
