The paper examined the critical headway and following time by the modified drew method and the survey traffic flow data on-site. The gap-acceptance capacity calculating model was developed for on-ramp junctions of urban freeway, and the numerical integration method was used to solving the model. Finally, the capacity values were obtained in condition of different mainline design speeds and different acceleration lane lengths.

The thesis evaluated whether the effectiveness of the airbag can be increased by making the airbag adaptive to the crash conditions, and points out that the size of the ventilation hole has the dominating influence on the performance of the airbag and is a key factor for intelligent airbag, multi-stage and lower-power inflator can cost effectively minimize the risk of injury to occupants from crashes. It is important for the researchers of intelligent airbag to keep the small size unbelted occupants in focus and it is necessary to study deeply the influence of airbag fold patterns and the extremity out-of-position situation. Dynamic interaction of wheel-rail is studied by using DSAS software when Blue-Arrow power car, trail car,"SS8" locomotive and passenger car with "209" bogies pass through a curve with severe rail oblique crack in Guang-Shen railway, respectively. Results of the above cases are compared and analyzed. Based on these results, effect of track structure parameter and train speed on dynamic interaction of wheel and rail in curve track is discussed, and a set of synthetic and effective technology measure which eliminates or releases rail oblique crack is put forward, The results can be expected to provide theoretic basis and guidance for engineering practice.
