陈会长致欢迎辞说︰「学会新制的宣传短片於二零零九年六月完成。此短片旨在感谢工程师对香港发展作出的贡献、提升工程专业的形象、以及教育中学及大专院校的学生。新短片以英文、广东话及普通话介绍了香港多样化的不同工程界别，包括学会新成立的航空界别。

In this age, the weak points of traditional education and examinationism have become more and more obvious. As a result, learning how to learn and becoming a creative person are the purpose of current education and the aim of education reforms. To achieve these goals, an interactive relationship between teachers and students in classroom must be constructed.

在这一时代，传统教育和应试教育的弊端也尤显突出，培养学会学习、学会创造的人才也成为当前教育的最重要目标和教育改革的方向，要实现这一目标，则必须在课堂教学中构建真正互动的师生关系。

In the lab course of experimentation, students will learn the method of polar stereographic projection to analyze the occurrence of foliation and lineation, the analysis methods and steps of geological map, the techniques of drawing geological maps and structural maps.

通过实验课的学习，学生学会用极射赤平投影的方法测定面、线构造的产状，学会阅读、分析地质图的方法和步骤，掌握绘制地质、构造图件的技术和方法。

Content of the course consists of:(1)Basic Theories of Polynomials ;(2)Linear Algebra: topics on basic matrix theory, determinant, system of linear equations, vector space, linear transformation, eigenvalue problems, inner product and Euclidean space , and quadratic form etc.;(3) Analytic Geometry: topics on algebraic operations of vectors, coordinates, lines and planes, curves and curved surfaces, etc.

学习本课程后，学生应学会用线性空间与线性变换的观点处理包括线性代数方程组在内的有关理论与实际问题；学会熟练地运用矩阵工具；本课程还学习基本的多项式知识和空间解析几何的基本知识。课程内容包括几个主要部分：（1）多项式代数；（2）线性代数：矩阵，行列式，线性代数方程组，向量空间与线性变换理论，特征值问题，欧氏空间理论，二次型等；（3）解析几何：几何空间向量代数，通过建立坐标系以及借助向量方法研究空间平面与直线及点﹑线﹑面的相互关系，借助曲面方程研究空间曲面，尤其是柱面，锥面，旋转面和二次曲面以及曲面的交线等。

Eventually Mr. Xu gave us some suggestions: widen your knowledge except for your major; hold your passion on working and devote yourself to your interest; be of self-command/restraint yourself to fulfill your plan; take team spirit along with you and deem you can show yourself well in a team; learn for life.

最后，许峰雄博士向同学们提出了几点建议：知识面要宽广不要仅限于自己的专业领域，要永葆工作的热情并将精力投入到自己感兴趣的地方去，学会自制以保证事先制订的计划得以完成，要有团队精神相信每一个人都能在团队里找到自己的角色，学会终身学习不断吸取新的知识。

分别对国内外情报学研究项目的立项情况、LISA文献数据库中收录的候选领域的文献数量、美国情报科学技术学会会刊载文的主题、美国《情报科学技术年评》的评论主题和美国情报科学技术学会年会的主题进行调查统计。

The institute discussing international and regional problems in Harvard University advocates researching relations among political, economical and social development. American Arts academy also convokes symposiums to discuss the topics"between values and human progress".

特别是哈佛大学国际与地区问题学会所倡导的探讨文化与政治、经济、社会发展之间的联系，以及美国艺术科学学会举行的&文化价值观与人类进步&的研讨会，在西方掀起了研究价值观与经济发展之间关系的热潮。

In these four years, has the harvest also to have regretted, but gratified is, these experiences caused me to learn to be calm, to be rigid, causes me to become even more independent, tenacious; Teaches me to learn in the life coordinates to seek suits own position, and continual readjustment and consummation; Lets me realize must dare in the life different stage to meet the new challenge.

There is results to also have in my university three years with step into a year of society regret, but delighted BE, these careers make me master dispassion, persisting, making me become to add independence more, tough and resilient;Teach me how to master to sit a mark in the life up look for to suit an own position, and adjust continuously with perfect ego;The different stage which lets me be aware of and brave in the life more greets a new challenge.
