The book contains the three ecumenical creeds: the Apostles' Creed, the Athanasian Creed, and the Nicene Creed; and the six particular confessions of the Lutheran church: the Augsburg Confession, the Apology of the Augsburg Confession, the Schmalkald Articles, the Larger and Smaller Catechisms of Luther, the Formula of Concord, and an optional collection of patristic material.
