In Small Tail Han, Chinese Merino, Corriedale and South African Mutton Merino sheep, frequency of genotype AA was 0.017, 0.216, 0.115, 0.429, frequency of genotype AB was 0.102, 0.317, 0.269, 0.500, frequency of genotype BB was 0.881, 0.467, 0.616, 0.071, respectively. Sequencing revealed one singlenucleotide mutation C→A at 305 bp of exon 3 of BMP4 gene in genotype BB in comparison to genotype AA, and this mutation resulted in an amino acid change of alanine→aspartic acid.

Results: The changes following hydrocortisone intervention of rats could be identified by PCA, and the kidney deficiency syndrome rats entered a state of "hyperfunction", involving a series of changes in metabolic pathway and metabolic network. The response integral area of lactic acid (δ 1.37) increased, indicating the accumulation of metabolites of lactic acid. The amount of dimethylamine (δ 2.72) also increased, indicating that the disorder of kidney function was related to kidney-deficiency syndrome. The response of creatinine (δ 3.87), asparaginic acid (δ 2.83), taurine (δ 3.44, 3.28), and hippurate (δ 7.84, 7.56, 7.64, 3.97) all decreased significantly, indicating that the hydrocortisone might cause adrenal cortex excretion injury. The response integral area of succinate (δ 2.41) and citric acid (δ 2.53, 2.68) decreased, which was usually caused by disorder of the mitochondrial function.

Results Leucocytopenia and lymphocytopenia were seen in all the patients. Two patients had slightly decreased peripheral blood T lymphocyte count. Alanine aminotransferase and aspartate transaminase levels increased slightly in 3 patients. No hypoxemia was seen in all the patients. Both SARSIgM and IgG seroconversion occurred earlier in all the patients with the titer increased more than 4fold shortly. Neutralization test was positive in all the patients. SARS coronary virus RNA was detected by polymerase chain reaction in pharyageal swabs only in 1 patient.
