Since the multiple scattering should be considered, the scattering problem of many-cylinders is more complicated than single cylinder. By using scattering matrix method to solve the scattering problem of many-cylinders, first we have to express the incident fieldand scattered field by special function(for example, Bessel function and Hankel function)under cylindrical coordinate, then use the addition theorem of special function to get a linear system of equations to relate the incident field coefficients and scattered field coefficients. The incident and scattered field coefficients for every cylinder can be solved from the linear equations by matching electromagnetic boundary condition pointwisely.

This is the second year report of a three-years project and objectives of this year include: 1 to organize a symposium on impact of implementing ICD-10 on cause-of-death statistics in Taiwan; 2 to submit series of papers according to the conclusions from the symposium; 3 to complete a preliminary report of multiple-cause-of-death analysis; 4 to construct different formats of MCOD datasets and procedures of releasing; 5 to develop the standard tabulation lists for morbidity statistics for hospitals of different levels in Taiwan with empirical data support; 6 to setup the electronic user-friendly equivalent mapping system for Taiwanese users; 7 to introduce recent development of using ICD-10-CM in the US and in Australia; 8 to invite experts from the US and Australia to hold a workshop on experience of using ICD-10 in hospitals and claims data for health insurance.

A multiplex PCR assay for detection of Escherichia coli O157:H7 was developed by using 3 sets of primers that specifically amplify segments of the rfbE、fliC and eaeA genes. The target genes fragment of the PCR assay were 291 bp, 625 bp and 368 bp, respectively. Analysis of 30 strains demonstrated that this PCR system was specific.
