Summary This paper analyzes the working principle and stability of a transistor mul- tivibrator operating as a frequency divider,with both sides being synchronized by the input signal.It is found that the frequency division stability of this circuit can further be increased when the multivibrator operates in the second class of oscillating condition,and that the optimum operating point is best determined from the actual base voltage changing characteristic.

A new way of distance measurement is introduced in this paper, it is similar to traditional measurement way, and has its origination. In the new measurement way, the rough measurement of the distance is realized by countering high frequency pulses filled in discriminable phase pulses. Discriminable phase pulses go through integral circuits, and then are sampled by Analogue Digital Converter, so the accurate measurement of the system is obtained by the sampling value.

To achieve wider spectrum for high-speed and high-capacity transmission , bands of millimeter-wave frequency are the solution of this problem . The advantage of MMW wireless communication systems is wider bandwidth comparing with microwave communication systems . To utilize the spectrum efficiently , many methods of complexly digital modulation is proposed . The more complex modulation , the higher linearity is required , and more various phase of signals are required to accomplish process of modulation . Therefore high-linearity and quadrature-phase modulator and demodulator are the emphasis of this thesis . For high level of integration , high performance and low cost , this chip is fabricated by the complementary oxide semi-conductor 0.13um process . A compact size of direct down-conversion and direct up conversion circuits will be presented in this thesis .
