The preliminary results show that the maximally evoked responses are at a deeper layer of the cortex. The value of this depth form surface of the cortex is about 900 m. A twodimensional recording was performed at this depth to find the responsive center or locus. The result shows that a dipole can be used to represent the responsive center with a coordinate of 1.9 mm posterial and 1.9 mm lateral to the Bregma. These finds should be valuable for further studies about pain.

Obducta to nine kinds of larch volatile compositions, namely R-α-pinene, S-α-pinene,β-pinene, ocimene, phellandrene, 3-carene, myrcene, camphene and phytol with EAG and Y-tube olfactometer. The results showed that 0.4 molL^(-1), most volatile compositions had significant EAG responses compared with the blank control (P.05), with exception of females to R-α-pinene, males to R-α-pinene and phellandrene.

Reactivities of μ-〓 with mono- and di- Grig-nard reagents derived intermediates toward various organicelectrophilic substrates were studied, along with complexa-tion of arynyl-containing iron-sulfur clusters by 〓Thus, several bridged, non-bridged, monomeric, dimeric,homonuclear, heteronuclear iron-sullfur and iron-sulfur co-balt-carbon cluster complexes were synthesized. A novelreaction and convenient route for the synthesis in highyield of tetranuclear iron complexes 〓 containing atetracoordinated sulfur atom was discovered, whereas aplausible mechanism based on experimental results was propo-sed for the formation of the new cluster type.
