Through NTP and BTP production function, this paper econometrically analyzes the relationship between institutional change and agricultural growth in China. It shows that institutional change has prominently affected agricultural growth during 1988~2005 and tends to have a beneficial effect, and the institutionul change is in the direction which is useful for agricultural gowth.
