Objective To investigate MRI manifestations of the posterior lobe and stalk of the hypophysis in central diabetes insipidus.

The pituitary gland consisted of neurohypophysis and adenohypophysis. The adenohypophysis was divided into anterior lobe, intermediate lobe and posterior lobe.

Patients with pituitary adenoma (84 PRL-secreting pituitary adenomas, 30 GH-secreting pituitary adenomas and 36 nonfunctioning pituitary adenomas) were treated by adnomectomy. The dynamic studies of serum PRL, GH, Cortisol, ACTH and thyroidal functions (T3, T4, TSH) were performed before and after microsurgery.

In conclusion, the pregnant result of group C was better than group B, D, E.2. The positive substance of TNF-αin group B was significantly increased than group A in the hypothalamus nuclei, neurohypophsis, pars intermedia, ovary follicle, corpus luteum, however, the expression of TNF-αwas obviously decreased in adenohypophysis.

B组TNF-α阳性产物的表达在下丘脑核团、神经垂体、垂体中间部、卵泡、黄体中均较A组显著增高，在垂体前叶较A组显著降低，在卵巢基质以及子宫中的表达与A组无显著差异。
