Results HE staining showed that sulindac could inhibit the growth of tumor cells, with the morphological presentations as apoptosis and necrosis including pyknosis, karyorrhexis and chromatin crescent formation, etc. By electron microscopy, cells also had apoptotic characteristics including chromatin crescent formation and apoptotic body.
