The studies on the compositions, origins and elastic properties of the southern Tibetan lower crust include the following 4 aspects: the petrological and geochemical festures and ages of granulitic facie rocks located in Higher Himalayas; dehydration melting experiments on the biotite-plagioclase gniess collected from Higher Himalayas at high temperature and high pressure to model the formation of the granulites; measurements of wave velocities of the lower crustal rock in situ; analysis of origin of intracrust low wave velocity layers beneath southern Tibet.

以西藏南部下地壳物质组成，成因及其弹性性质为研究目标进行了4个方面的相关研究：高喜马拉雅地区麻粒岩相岩石的岩石学，地球化学和年代学研究；麻粒岩相岩石成因的高温高压实验；原位条件下岩石的弹性波速测量；西藏高原壳内低速层的成因分析与模拟。

The vertical and horizontal postglacial rebound is detected by measuring site velocities and length rates of baselines respectively using data from space geodetic measurement of VLBI. The comparison and correlation analysis between space geodetic results and predictions of postglacial rebound from the geophysical model ICE-4G is shown. And the system error between space geodetic results and ICE-4G predictions is also discussed.

利用VLBI的实测数据和ICE-4G模型，采用实测站速度和基线长度变化率分别检测了冰期后地壳回弹的垂直运动和水平运动，并对用空间技术求解的实测值和用ICE-4G模型求解的估计值进行了数理统计分析，最后给出了实测结果与地学模型估计值之间的系统差。

Between 2,500 yr BP and 1,800 yr BP. This was a neo-glacial age with a cold snap. The ice-cap on the King George Island and Ardley Island advanced. Iso -static adjustment lowered the palaeo -first terrace at the edge of Ardley Island under the high tide sea level. This made the rookeries around Y2 lake disappear and Y2 lake changed into a lagoon. The fact of Y2 lake under the sea level was coincident with the radiocarbon age (2180±95 yr BP) of the modern third raised beach terrace with 14m-height above the sea level near Yin ' Ou lake in the Fildes Peninsula.
