At last, the instrument is applied in the storage tank of ZhenHai chemical plant. It shows that the portable MFL instrument can detect 4mm diameter、0.5mm deep hole in 6mm thick plate and 8mm diameter、1.1mm deep hole in 12mm thick plate. The whole instrument is about 22kg heavy. The battery can keep on working for 6.5 hours. It is an efficient way for the testing of the corrosion on oil storage tank floor.

在上述实验研究的基础上，成功研制出一台基于PC104的便携式储罐底板腐蚀漏磁检测仪，解决了仪器使用过程中遇到的直线行走、转向和安装困难等关键问题，并在中国石化镇海炼化进行了应用，实验室和现场试验表明，该便携式储罐底板腐蚀漏磁检测仪能检出6mm厚钢板上φ4mm×0.5mm和12mm厚钢板上φ8mm×0.5mm的腐蚀坑，整体重量22kg，电池能连续工作6.5小时，很好的解决了储罐底板腐蚀的检测问题。
