通常，在晚饭时，一群来自全国各地或者世界各国的男孩和女孩会在相同的旅馆相遇。他们会把他们的食物放在一起，用各种盘子准备一顿晚餐。有时，晚饭后还会组织一些唱歌跳舞或者回答问题的活动，人们可以从这些活动里学到其他地方的很多事情仅仅是通过认识从那些地方来的人。因为这个原因，在旅馆里待的几周可以成为像在学校上课一样成为一个人有用的受教育途径。
