After seven years of busy work, in 2005, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization authorized, on the basis of Gansu Natural Energy Research Institute, establish the United Nations industrial development organization of international solar technology promotion and transferring center, in order to improve the abilities on solar energy technology research, solar products and equipment production as well as solar energy applications in the world, providing human resource training, making solar energy technology and application one of the important measures to promote the economic development and eliminate poverty for the developing countries.
