Enzyme as a biological catalyst is very sensitive to the environment , physical, chemical and biological factors.In the other hand it is difficult to purify from the reaction products. What's more it can not make a continuous operation.All those astrict the reaction.Under this condition, enzyme immobilization was put forward and developed.

酶作为一种生物催化剂，对环境十分敏感，易受物理、化学和生物等因素的影响而失活，而且反应后混入产品，纯化困难，不能实现连续操作，这些难以克服的现象大大限制了酶促反应在工业中的应用，在这种条件下，固定化酶的概念和技术得以提出和发展。
