Of the 36 tussah silkworm varieties, the Nei's genetic diversity index was 0.3243±0.1515, and Shannon information index was 0.4871±0.1975, suggesting that bivoltine tussah silkworm varieties are still rich in genetic diversity even having been conserved in the same place for quite long time. Nei's genetic identity of the 36 varieties ranged from 0.4959 to 0.8347, 96.59% of which was above 0.6, revealing large similarity between different varieties. A clustering analysis showed that these varieties formed two separate clades, one of which included varieties bred by the institute and the other included imported varieties from other provinces or countries.

In order to clarify the rules of POD isoenzyme in the hazelnut, identify their blood relations between female, male and filial generations and select the superior parents for cross-breeding, we have studied the characteristics of peroxidase isoenzyme which are distributed in the 34 hazelnut varieties or lines by polyarclamide gel electrophoresis, The results showed that:POD isoenzymes of Corylus heterophylla Fisch, Corylus avellana L, and the hybrid of Corylus heterophylla Fisch × Corylus avellana L had obvious difference; some hybrids had lost P10 spectrum band of parents; the enzyme spectrum of 32 hybrid hazelnuts produced 'new hybrid spectrum bands'that could be considered as a mean to identify hybrids.

Results showed that contents of IAA and ABA in peduncle, bourse and the tissues around abscission zone among several cultivars were very different, but their trend of change was similar, IAA content decreased and ABA content increased toward harvest time for all the cultivars. Ethylene evolution in fruit of the cultivars with higher preharvest drop was evidently higher than the cultivars with less preharvest drop. Cellulase activity in the tissues around abscission zone of the cultixars with higher prehanest drop rapidly increased toward harvest time.
