Although many researchers have studied the synthesis of allyl phenyl ether by phase-transfer catalysis, no studies have used it in membrane reactor up to now. The purpose of this paper is to combine the studies of membrane reactor and phase-transfer catalysis. The membrane was used to stabilize the aqueous/organic interface at a fixed position, also the quaternary ammonium ion in the membrane was used as the catalyst to partake in the reaction system directly, and so it can also separate the product and reactants at the same time. A theoretical model is also presented.
