During the investigation of the reactivity of O_SCl_2(PPh_3)_2CH=C(PPh_3CHCH=CH_2 and O_SCl_2(PPh_3)_2CH=C(PPh_3C(=CH_2)CH=CH2, several stable osmacycles with novel structure, such as osmabenzenes, osmafurans, osmacycles containing intramolecular-coordinated allene, intramolecular-coordination osmacycles containing osmacarbene, an osmacyclopentadiene, were isolated during the investigation of the reactivity of O_SCl_2(PPh_3)_2CH=C(PPh_3CHCH=CH_2 and O_SCl_2(PPh_3)_2-CH=C(PPh_3C(=CH_2)CH=CH_2.In addition, some convenient and efficient methods to prepare these osmacycles were developed.

In addition, single-crystalX-ray diffraction analyses were performed for 4 representa-tive new compounds. Reactivities of μ-〓 with mono- and di- Grig-nard reagents derived intermediates toward various organicelectrophilic substrates were studied, along with complexa-tion of arynyl-containing iron-sulfur clusters by 〓Thus, several bridged, non-bridged, monomeric, dimeric,homonuclear, heteronuclear iron-sullfur and iron-sulfur co-balt-carbon cluster complexes were synthesized. A novelreaction and convenient route for the synthesis in highyield of tetranuclear iron complexes 〓 containing atetracoordinated sulfur atom was discovered, whereas aplausible mechanism based on experimental results was propo-sed for the formation of the new cluster type.

The aim of this study was to develop a novel amphiphilic functional block poly(ε-caprolactone) bearing ketone groups MPEG-b-P(OPD-co-CL. 2-oxepane-1, 5-dione was copolymerized with ε-caprolatone in which methoxy poly (MPEG, Mn=5 000) and stannous octoate were used as initiator and catalyst, respectively. The syntheses were conducted by bulk and solution polymerization. 1H NMR results showed that peak position and splitting of the polymers synthesized through solution polymerization were consistent with theoretical data, demonstrating the products were designed block copolymers. While in the bulk polymerization, polymer peak position was changed due to their high reaction temperature, suggesting their structural variation.
