花序头状，球状或卵球形；花葶细，扭曲，倾斜，基部被无叶片的管状的叶鞘包围。

Leaf sheath distally pubescent; leaf blade thin, 3.4–9.5 × 0.3–0.7 cm, secondary veins 2-paired; pseudopetiole gray-white pubescent when young; culm sheath oral setae white-gray.

叶鞘宿存；适中大的叶片适合秆的大小，没有边缘坏死在冬天，随便的安排，离生的横向脉内。
