By 23rd March 2004, there have been 883 records about mtDNA of Chrysomelidae in the data bank of NCBI, but the record of cytb is 0. cytb is the protein-coding gene and known most clearly in mtDNA. Its often used to study Diptera but never to study the phylogeny of Chrysomelidae.

Beetle families were found among the 1625 captured specimens, of which 31.0 % was Staphylinidae and 22.6 % was Carabidae. Elateridae, Chrysomelidae and Scarabaeidae were each above 5 % of the total.

The diversity of litter-laser beetles was investigated in Wuyishan Nature Reserve. Four areas were selected. Xujiachang, Tongmuguan, Shisigongli and Huanggang-Mountain. We built up 22 plots mainly using pitfall traps. 16 beetle families, were found among the 1625 captured specimens, of which 31.0% was.
