According to the data of tropical cyclone landfalling in China for 1949-2006, climatologically statistical parameters of typhoon season, including the first-landfall TC date, the last-landfall TC date and the duration of typhoon season were analyzed.

As for the mid-June 2006 Mei-yu case, the assimilation of both kinds of data can help the simulation of radar reflectivity.
