Wang Yin has pushed himself to constantly fight with two sides. On one hand, he revokes the symbolic tradition of socialist realism with experience and sensations, yet all of these efforts have been realized in his paintings of the "Soviet style". On the other hand, he creates "modern classics" in a playful approach, trying to mock the laughable obsession with "the originality of images" in contemporary art.
