The thesis adopts research methods introduced from history, politics, sociology and other correlative subjects in its expatriation of the various endeavors the Nanjing municipality had tried in municipal administration and social reform during the period from 1927 to 1937, one of the most important periods of social transform in the history of Nanjing, and thus makes a pilot study of the guidelines, institutional structure, contents and measures of social administration of Nanjing.

本文运用历史学、政治学、社会管理学等相关学科的研究方法，阐述了1927-1937年——南京历史上最重要的社会变革时期之一——南京市政当局实施城市管理、进行社会改造的种种努力，由此对南京城市社会管理的指导思想、机构设置、管理内容和管理手段进行了初步考察。

Applying questionnaires and interviews,the research investigates the self-esteems' way of acquirement and defense of university students in view of gender difference.the results show that:throught five different ways,the university students acquire their self-esteem,including others' identification,others' self-identification,social comparison,outer self-exposure,inner self-confirmation;gender differences exist in all categories and it's subcategory to a certain extent.

From October 16th to 17th, 2006, lead by the subdecanal Hong Xiaowen, the five visitors from Microsoft Research Asia came to visit Nanjing University. On the afternoon of 16th, Doctor Ma Weiying's lecture "Face Recognition and Computer Vision Research at Microsoft Research Asia" was held in room 109 of the technology building in Nanjing University. The room was full of people at that point. On the afternoon of 17th, Doctor Ma Weiying's lecture "Web-scale Data Mining for Search" was held. At the same time, hosted by Gong Yongen, the schoolfellow of Nanjing University and software development engineer in searching technology center of MRA, the experience sharing meeting was held. They won the same nice echo.

2006年10月16日至17日，以洪小文副院长为首的微软亚洲研究院访问团一行5人访问南京大学。10月16日下午，汤晓鸥博士学术报告《Face Recognition and Computer Vision Research at Microsoft Research Asia》在南京大学科技楼109报告厅进行，现场座无虚席。10月17日下午，马维英博士学术讲座《Web-scale Data Mining for Search》以及南京大学校友、微软亚洲研究院搜索技术中心软件开发工程师龚永恩主持的校友经验分享会同时进行，同样取得了热烈的反响。

In order to have a better understanding of the historical role of the social investigation carried out by Nanjing National Government, this thesis made an analysis by comparing it with the social investigation carried out by the late Qing Government, Peking Government and the homochronous folk social investigation and the one carried by Chinese Communist Party, not only highlighted the Nanjing National government social investigation characteristic, but pointed out the achievements and deficiency.
