From this point in the wilderness, they could probably see the hills of Canaan, their new home!

They said,"From the land of Canaan, to buy food."

When Abraham and company arrived in the land of Canaan...

And with God's help, Joshua knew they would go into the land of Canaan!

So they went up out of Egypt and came to the land of Canaan to Jacob their father.

Jacob and his family in Canaan had no food to eat, either.

He probably thought to himself… I can always get back to Canaan.

他可能这么想，我随时都可以回到迦南去。

So they went up from Egypt and came to the land of Canaan, to their father Jacob.

And Abraham said,"But Dad... God said to go to Canaan."

亚伯拉罕说："但是，父亲，神说到迦南去呀！"

The split between the two groups can hardly be papered over.
