The Department is primarily dedicated to education and research in obstetrics and gynaecology including psychological aspects of reproduction, molecular aspects of gynaecological cancers, menopause, apoptosis, infertility, hypertension in pregnancy, lipid peroxidation, gestational diabetes, pathophysiology, fetal growth, urogynaecology, biopsychology.

产科学和妇科学系创建于1983年，主要致力于产科学和妇科学的教育与研究，其研究领域包括生殖的心理特点，妇科癌的分子特点，绝经，细胞凋亡，不育，妊娠性高血压，脂质过氧化作用，妊娠性糖尿病，病理生理学，胎儿发育，尿妇科医学，生物心理学等。
