But all of these data are obtained from animal experiments, information of clinical research has not been reported. Natural β-carotin and folic acid can reverse dysplasia and intestinal metaplasia of gastric mucosa to some extent, but these effects are required to be further investigated.

晚近发现维甲酸类诱导分化剂及硒酵母对大鼠PLGC演变至胃癌有一定阻抑预防和逆转治疗作用，但均仍停留在动物实验阶段而未用之于临床；天然β-胡萝卜素和叶酸干预治疗后能一定程度地逆转胃粘膜异型增生和肠化生，值得进一步深入。
