With its unique molecular structure and outstanding bio-activities, qinghaosu has been proven as a worthy subject for in-depth studies with profound influence, not only for pharmacy, but also for phytochemistry, biogenetic synthesis and organic synthetic chemistry, chemical biology, etc. A great amount of work has been done in the last 30 years, with a lot more issues to be explored. Researchers need to seize the opportunity and make more achievements.

青蒿素以其独特的分子结构和杰出的生物活性显示出它是一有深远影响的研究对象，不仅对于药学，而且对于植物化学、生源合成、有机合成化学、化学生物学等学科都是一个可以大有作为的课题。30年来国内外已做了不少工作，但是还有更多的问题有待探索，机不可失，时不再来，期待着在綻放青蒿素的故土上结出更多的果实。

Combinatorial chemistry is a type of synthetic strategy which systematically connects a set of"building blocks"such as amino acids, nucleotide and small organic molecules to yield a large array of diverse molecular entities described as a combinatorial library. It also refers to the process of screening the compounds with the expective activity from the library.

In the thesis, a series of novel single and multi-armed oxadiazole bridging ligands and pyridyl-4, 5-imidazole dicarboxylic acid ligands have been synthesized. The coordination chemistry of these novel ligands with transition metal ions was investigated. In addition, two 1, 3, 4-oxadiazole bridging ligands end-capped by chelating Schiff-base coordination sites have been designed and synthesized. The coordination chemistry based on one of the two ligands with metal ions was primarily investigated.
