Fifteen novel 1,4-naphthoquinones, rhinacanthin-A -D, rhinacanone-A -K and two new biphenyl compounds, rhinacanim-A,-B together with eleven known compounds have been isolated and characterized from the root of Rhinacanthus nasutus Kurz.

We have investigated on the chemical constituents of Nepeta partite collected from Gansu Zhuanglang, and twenty eight compounds were isolated from the methanol extraction of this species by chromatography techniques.
