This means that the residual strain in rolled alloy promoted the aging process. Over-aging occurred easily when the aging temperature is somewhat higher, so it is difficult to control the aging treatment in production. The 6〓 alloy with combined Mg, Cr, Co additives showed less tendency of over-aging, the alloy can be aged in a wider temperature range and the mechanical property is stable. So the treatment process can be easily controlled.
