The temperature field and thermal stress on the spiral casing structure of large\|sized hydropower station are analyzed by the finite element method in this paper. The method to define the coefficient of elastic resistance on rock is presented.

The results show that, both normal and tangential blowing are effective means of flow control, the influence of blowing on the cone-cylinder is strongest, followed by the influence of blowing on the elliptic forebody and on chine forebody.
