The Arctic is a mysterious far away place. A voyage to Arctic is filled with sweat and tears, sometimes claiming lives, even human lives. In 1995, as expedition leader, Wei Menghua lead China's first scientific investigative expedition to reach the Arctic's North Pole. At 10:55 on May 6, 1995, 3 red signal flares rose high into the sky when China's National Flag appeared for the first time at the North Pole. This was Wei Menghua's achievement.
