The medullary index interval of hairs from the back, the abdomen, the neck and the hip of chinese muntjac was between 60.5% and 84.5%, the same index in black muntjac was between 62.8% and 80.2%, in white lipped deer was between 60.1% and 90.2%, in roe deer was between 85.8% and 93.2%. Scale pattern is simple in four kinds of deer, mainly including irregular wave type, flat type, inlay type and coronal type, etc. Their sequence is different.

结果表明，黄麂背、臀、腹、颈等4个部位的毛髓质指数区间为60.5%～84.5%，黑麂4个部位的毛髓质指数区间为62.8%～80.2%，白唇鹿4个部位的毛髓质指数区间为60.1%～90.2%，狍4个部位的毛髓质指数区间为85.8%～93.2%。4种动物的毛鳞片花纹类型较单一，主要包括杂波型、扁平型、镶嵌型和冠状型等，其排列顺序不尽相同。

Primary culture and subculture were adopted using lung cells of a female Elaphodus cephalophus' embryo. A new karyotype and a pair of big telocentric chromosomes were found. The diploid has 48 chromosomes, and the karyotype formula is 2M+2ST+42T+XX. C-banding analysis shows that these chromosomes are homologous with those reported relevant chromosomes. This article is the first to report the polymorphism of Elophodus cephalophus B-chromosomes and studies it's transmitted mechanism.

采用原代培养和传代培养法，对1头毛冠鹿的胚肺组织细胞进行观察，发现一种新的核型，其二倍体染色体数目为2n=48，核型公式为2M+2ST+42T+XX，出现1对大的末端着丝粒染色体，C-带显示该染色体与已报道的相关染色体同源，首次提出毛冠鹿B染色体多态，对其传递机制进行了探讨。

There are several characters in our researches:(1) we study the relationship between karyotype polymorphism and sex chromosome in Elaphodus Cephalophus which only lives in China, and explore the mechanism of its sex chromosome evolution.

研究特色主要体现在：一、以我国特有的动物毛冠鹿为材料，在染色体和DNA水平上研究毛冠鹿核型多态与性染色体关系，探索毛冠鹿性染色体发生和演变的机制。

In addition, the human X-specific and Y-specific whole chromosome painting probes were hybridized onto metaphase spreads obtained from male of Elaphodus cephalophus.No signals were detected, which indicates the phylogenetic relationship between human and the tufted deer is not close.

分别用人X、Y染色体特异的整条染色体涂染探针，通过荧光原位杂交的方法，检测核型Ⅰ中是否存在与人X、Y染色体同源的片段，结果显示该毛冠鹿间期、中期细胞都呈阴性，提示可能毛冠鹿与人的亲缘关系较远。
