Numerical simulation by Matlab for the new hypocycloid energy transformation mechanisms was done by means of the four-order Runge-kutta's method. The result shows that the simple harmonic and rectilinear motion of piston in the new mechanism make the engine working more stable. The peak acceleration is around 25% lower in the new mechanism than that in the conventional slider-crank mechanism. And the output speed is much higher at the same identical mean effective pressure and same load torque. And then the output power of the engine is improved.
