There has been a lot of researches on carabid beetles as bioindicator in the world, focused on the sustainable management of ecosystem and environmental quality assessment. In China the studies on carabid beetles were mainly focused on taxonomy, faunology and the community diversity, few reports about carabid beetles as bioindicators.

The paper consists of three parts.
