In May, 2005, Netherlandish Philip brought lawsuit against Dongqiang Electron and other 13 related companies; in 2006, Sigmatel accused a Chinese company of violation of its intellecture property rights, trying to barricade the importation of MP3 from any companies who used their COMS chip.
