A series of lanthanide complexes (Ln = Er, Nd, Yb) with infrared emission properties were designed and synthesized by using different anionic ligands [1 -phenyl-3-methyl-4-(4-tertbutylbenzoyl)-5-pyrazolone and l-phenyl-3-methyl-4--5-pyrazolone and 2-naphtoyl trifluoroacetone] and netural ligands (2,2-dipyridine, phenanthroline, triphenylphosphine oxide and water).
