On the basis of the analysis of the DBS signals and the principle of the optical receiver and in light of the application features of fiber-optic broadband access networks, a 3 GHz analog optical receiver with fairly high sensibility and large dynamic range has been designed and developed for the optical broadband satellite TV signals.

Based on imaging technique, the shape measurement method and light scattering characteristics of static aerosol particles are investigated. The experimental apparatus is set up and the main effort is paid on the design of the scattering chamber and the optical fiber arrangement. The control of airflow and the calibration procedure are also developed.
