The results show that the original single-mode fiber become a multimode waveguide. The fused tapered fiber was fabricated by using the flame of a spirit lamp. If controlling the fiber dimension well during pull process, the unique tapered fiber will has a multimode input end and a single mode output end for launching wavelength 632.8nm, which was observed in our experiment.
