Acceleration sensitivity, which determines the noise level of sensing array induced by cable dithering and towing instability, as a result of the special working scheme, circumstance and structure installation of the towed linear array, is a key parameter of the fiber optic hydrophone for the towed linear array application. Therefore, the reduction of FOH acceleration sensitivity is important for the towed linear hydrophone array to achieve an excellent performance.

The theoretic transfer function of the filter made of N-stage HBFs, and the expression are obtained when N is 1, 2 or 3; the polarization independence of the filter is analyzed, and the relation between the frequency response and the parameter of filter such as the length, beat length of HBFs and the angles between HBFs is studied; finally, some experiments are performed to check the theory, and the result shows to have good agreement with the theoretic result.

The experiments indicate that adding phonon blockcer to the transmission fiber is helpful to improve the SBS threshold, and the blocker at different locations makes different effects. In a 60 km testing fiber, the SBS threshold is the maximum when we insert the blocker at the point of 30 km.

The now available long-range supervision system at home and abroad is based on the optical fiber mostly, and if the optical fiber runs into that the machinery lashes and colliding optical fiber may split or break.
