Therefore, I think that is not an appropriate attitude for academic research. In fact, though the Confucian ideology took control of social and political lives of the upper class in ancient Korea, Buddhism and Taoism still exerted great influence upon common people\'s life in the society under the reign of the Lee family. In people\'s mind, including people from the upper class, such influences were clearly deep-rooted, which is, in turn, evidently reflected in their literary creation.
